Back to the Beginning

Well, Andrew and I have apparently not been acting our age at church because we were asked this past Sunday to stop going to Sunday School, Priesthood and Relief Society and to start hanging out with all the little 3 and 4 year olds instead. That's right....we are now in the nursery, and I think we fit right in. :) We just received the calling this past Sunday to be nursery workers and we're both rather excited about it. We both were surprised at the calling, but we went into nursery on Sunday and got to meet the kids and see how everything works in there. Or at least how they try to make things work. Little kids sure have lots of energy when they're all together, don't they!?! :) We have an interesting mix of kids in there though, so it should be very exciting! I'm sure I'll have stories to tell from our adventures in there, so stay tuned for updates. :)

Ah, the joys of nursery. Dan and I have both worked in the nursery before, and we know how draining it can be! You won't have any four year olds though--I think three is the cut off. 18 mos. to 3 years. Hopefully you won't get too beat up by them! It is definitely more exciting than Sunday School though ;).

Being Primary President, I sooooo appreciate anyone who is happy and willing to accept a calling. Especially in nursery. I know that you'll enjoy it, just be sure to take Excedrin before you go. It's much more effective if you do it that way.

The Nursery has to be my all-time FAVORITE calling!!!! No kidding! I've had all kinds of other callings in all kinds of different places, but hanging out with the little kids and playing with toys and 'teaching' them a 'lesson' (ha ha ha)--mostly it's just listening to their comments during the lesson!!!-- It honestly is my favorite!! You guys are super lucky! Enjoy it!

Hooray for Nursery!! We should take our kids to your ward at Christmastime, just so that you can be their "teachers." Have fun! You'll love snack time...except for on Fast Sundays. :)
