Happy Anniversary!

Our first anniversary was this past Friday, the 27th. Thanks to my wonderful friend, Kajsia, for covering for me at work, we were able to leave Thursday night to get away for the weekend. We went up to the condo my work owns near Park City--same place we went to the weekend after we got married. It was so beautiful up there with snow on the mountains, but surprisingly warm weather with the snow all around. We went to Park City on Friday and bought some cute baby clothes!! And also a few little things for ourselves. We were able to rest and relax and not worry about anything all weekend long! It was a great chance to go through names for the baby (still haven't picked one, but we've narrowed down our huge list!), spend a little time in the hot tub (just a minute for me...I know I'm not supposed to with the baby), and practice our culinary skills as we made fun meals for ourselves. I'm so grateful for my amazing husband and all that he does for me! It was so fun to just be together for 3 whole days! So here are some pictures of our amazing weekend.

Here's to one fabulous year! Happy Anniversary!

My hunky husband at the hot tub

In the hot tub--do you love our new sunglasses we got in Park City? We do. :)

Ahh....relaxing!!

Going through a baby book name

Just before we left. I look really tired for some reason...but I was actually very well rested! Maybe it's cause I wasn't wearing any makeup at all....

To my wonderful, amazing, kind, sweet and hottie husband! I love you!! The past year has been happier than I could have imagined. I'm so glad that I get to spend forever with you!

Pictures

Here are the ultrasound pictures that I promised I would post. :) I'll let them speak for themselves since I can't really draw lines to show you what is what...we had to have it explained to us though. That is why I am not the ultrasound technician. :)

It's a girl! Her legs on the left side and little bum on the right.

Hand and feet--you can see the fingers and the toes

Lips and Nose--this one's really hard to make out, especially on here.

Profile shot--isn't she so cute already? :P

Profile shot #2
And face (I'm still not really sure how this is the face...)

So there you have it! It definitely is starting to be more and more real to me now that I'm going to have a baby! And now we have some pictures to prove it. :)

The results are in! It's a....

...baby!!! No really...it is... :) Andrew and I were joking that that's really what we should just tell everyone, but I thought we would have some very upset people. So I'll tell you all...it's a GIRL!!! Andrew and I were totally convinced it was a boy, so we were both very surprised. She was not shy at all about showing us though, so they were very sure! :) I'm so extremely excited to be able to start buying cute little baby girl clothes! But most of all we're both very happy that the baby is healthy and that everything looks good! The ultrasound technician said that she couldn't see anything wrong at all. Yay!! Very relieving to hear that! And I'm almost 21 weeks now, so I'm just over halfway done with this pregnancy! It hasn't really felt like it's gone by fast...I feel like I've been pregnant forever!..but it is weird that I've got just a little less time left than I've gone through already. And now that I'm feeling better I'm thinking it'll go by pretty fast! I'll have to post the ultrasound pictures later when I can get them scanned cause I still haven't figured out how to use the one at work to scan my own things. For the record, on my poll we had 5 votes for boy and 4 votes for girl. So sorry for misleading you all. It was unintentional! :)

On an unrelated note...I just need to tell you all how much I LOVE strawberry cream slushes from Sonic!! I hadn't had one in quite a while, but I told Andrew that I'm going to be getting a lot of those during this summer! He just kind of laughed...but I'm really not kidding! Oh so yummy goodness!! So yep...go get one, or you can just bring me one instead! :)

Vote!

Well I now have my ultrasound appointment set up, so I decided that it's time to set up a poll to see if you think I'm going to be having a boy or a girl. The appointment is 3 weeks from today, on the 23rd of this month. So everyone make sure to get your vote in before that! :)

The doctor's appointment went really well today. The shortest of them all so far. We only had to wait for the doctor for like 20 minutes instead of the 45-50 we had to wait last time. That was a definite plus. :) We listened to the heartbeat again--I just don't ever get tired of that! I feel relieved every time he finds it cause then I know my baby is okay! The doctor is guessing it's a boy...and Andrew has a feeling it'll be a boy too. What do YOU think? Some of my symptoms that might help you decide if you put any stock into Old Wives' Tales:

--baby has a slower heartbeat
--I crave fruit, but haven't craved chocolate or other sweets at all
--Andrew has not gained any weight
--I started experiencing morning sickness at about 6 weeks. I think that's early...
--my face has been breaking out
--my age+month of conception=even number

So there ya go...make a choice. :) We'll find out who's right in just a couple weeks!

Edited to add (just for you Robyn :) ) : Even though the doctor guessed this last time that it's a boy, he guessed girl the time before. And also, although boys tend to have slower heartbeats, he said that he has two girls who both had slower heartbeats. Just throwing that in the mix...
